Can Custom Inflatables Bring Your Team Good Luck?
College Football season is in full swing, and everyone here at Inflatable Design Group could not be happier! Teams all across the nation have started their seasons and custom inflatables from IDG made appearances at stadiums and fan zones. What if our inflatables were a teams good luck charm? What if our inflatables created a home field advantage for college football teams? Do inflatables that energize your crowd translate to success on the field? Let’s take a look at the results around the college football world and see if it holds up.
Wild Wild West
We start in the Mountain West Conference. The San Diego State Aztecs won their second straight game this Saturday when they made the short drive up north to Pasadena to face the UCLA Bruins. It was the Aztec’s first win ever against UCLA, and to do it in the historic Rose Bowl is an amazing accomplishment! Aztec fans are always entertained during their pre-game tailgate with the wide array of interactive games from IDG. As they walk under a custom inflatable arch with SDSU colors and logos, Aztec fans will get the opportunity to participate in the dual field goal kick/ football toss game as well as the basketball shoe free throw contest!
It was an impressive week for the Mountain West Conference, The Utah State Aggies cruised to a 62-7 butt kicking over The Stony Brook Seawolves. Utah state definitely felt the home field advantage as the crowd must have been buzzing after seeing their team run out of a custom inflatable tunnel! The players probably channeled that energy into their play, winning by such a large margin. Custom Inflatable tunnels are the perfect addition to any team’s game day and it is guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet! The players love it too. Nothing gets the team more pumped up than running out of a tunnel through smoke out onto the field.
Let’s stay in the west and the PAC-12 Conference. After a week 1 victory against their bitter rivals BYU (who we have also made inflatables for) the number 11 ranked Utah Utes went on to beat the Northern Illinois Huskies 35-17. Without a doubt one of our more impressive creations, the Utah Utes’ custom inflatable entryway gets Rice-Eccles rocking every time. Here at IDG we can turn your school’s logo into a unique entryway. As the Utes go marching out onto the field, all eyes and cameras will be focused on that giant U in the end zone!
We now head down to the SEC country. After their dramatic victory in week 1 versus Oregon, the Auburn Tigers defeated the Tulane Green Wave 24-6. The Auburn fans were treated to a great game day experience both on the field and off the field. Auburn have the best fan zone in the SEC with their collection of IDG inflatables. Auburn’s setup includes inflatable speed pitch (not every game has to be football related), inflatable football toss, and a classic inflatable bouncer. All of them decked out in the blue and orange of the tigers with the iconic overlapping AU as well! With last Saturday being the first home game of the season for the Tigers, Jordan-Hare Stadium was definitely electric, with the fan’s pregame energy channeling down into the players.
Next we head east to Athens and the University of Georgia where we have another blowout win handed out by the Bulldogs. Georgia annihilated the Murray State Racers 63-17! No big surprises here as Georgia is one college football’s powerhouses right now, but an impressive win nonetheless. Georgia fans likely spent the pregame at the Bulldog Village. Georgia’s pre game fan zone starts with a walk under a custom inflatable arch in the shape of a bulldog collar. Here at Inflatable Design Group, we add that special touch to your inflatable project that stands out from the competition. Maybe that special touch is what will finally get the Dawgs to overcome Bama!
Best of the Rest
In the Big 12 Oklahoma State was firing on all cylinders last Saturday as they won the battle of the cowboys, beating McNeese State 56-14! In a real shoot out on the field, fans were shooting pictures off the field. With Oklahoma State’s custom inflatable mascot, Pistol Pete, at the game fans got a chance to share their game day experience on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, or any other social media platform. Large, Iconic, and in the shape of your school’s mascot or logo, custom inflatable mascots are the perfect addition to your team’s game day or any university event!
Going back out east, The Wake Forest Demon Deacons improved to 2-0 on the season on Saturday as they defeated the Rice Owls, who we have made a custom inflatable entryway for too, 41-21 (we do not pick favorites in games between two schools we have made inflatables for). Wake Forest games are a must see event for the younger fans they have because of their large inflatable slide. Standing tall at 22 feet high, the inflatable slides are a joy to go down which is why the kids love them (adults can go down the slide too). The Wake Forest slide is professionally designed with black and gold coloring and the clean W and F look on either end of the slide.
After all the success that schools we have made inflatables for this past week have had, it really does beg the question: do custom inflatables from Inflatable Design Group give teams a competitive advantage? One would think so; but even though we have no control over what happens on the field; what we can bring to your team is a sense of school pride, team spirit, and fan excitement. All of these factors play into a home field advantage for your team. At the end of the day, the fans are what make sports great, and if you can provide them with a great game day experience off the field, it will keep them coming back to your games regardless of what happens on the field.
